{We're So Lucky She's Ours}

Kylar Grace Penrod joined our family March 9, 2009 at 12:13 pm. She weighed in at 6 lb. 3 oz and was 19 inches long. She was born 4 weeks early, but has been healthy and was able to come home with me in 24 hours. Once my labor got going she came so fast that her face got really bruised. She was really purple, and banged up. The bruising is breaking down, but she still has black eyes and a bruised elbow. We are so lucky that was the only issue we had! She is so sweet, and we have yet to hear much out of her. Her sisters adore her and I have a hard time getting them to leave her alone. I am so grateful that Heavenly Father decided to bless us with her.

Here are a few pictures, I added them backwards, but am too lazy to change it.

Future Administrative Assistant...

Do you know what this is?

This little girl does. And she talks about them all the time!

It's a PIGMY MARMOSET. Thanks to Diego, Kelsie knows all about Pigmy Marmosets. She knows they are the world's smallest living monkey, she knows what sound they make and she walks around the house pretending she is a Pigmy Marmoset. She says it perfectly. She is a Pigmy Marmoset. She loves Pigmy Marmosets. She has a Pigmy Marmoset living in a tree in her room. Last week she was a CUATI thanks to Diego. What happened to dogs and cats, sheep, pigs, animals I know a few things about? Each time she is a new exotic animal I have to google it to make sure I get my facts right... This little thing is too smart.

7 Years

(This is one of my favorite pictures of the 2 of us. Taken in 07 at Levi's Fire Graduation. It was a rough 22 weeks, but we made it together.)

Today Levi and I have been married for 7 years. Holy Moly time flies. We've had our share of trials and arguements through the years, but we are still here. Our little family is growing and thriving. We were married very young and it took us some time to figure things out... but I am happy to report I think we are getting it. Our 7th year has been a good one.

7 Reasons I Love Being Married to Levi:

* He is a GREAT Dad. He really knows his girls. They are tight. Now that he has a lot of time off during the day, he can be here for the daily things like baths and teeth brushing. He's always up to the challenge of holding our two year old down to brush her teeth. Wait! It's only me that has to hold her down. She opens wide and lets him do it no problem. He knows them so well, and I trust him completely with their futures.

* He is a hard worker. He supports his family. He does whatever he needs to and I know that he will always do everything he can to provide for us. He is highly motivated to do things around the house, too. He dug a hole big enough for our twelve foot trampoline to be sunk into the ground by hand this year.

* He is very smart. He can remember the most random facts, trivia, stats, etc. If he doesn't know how to do something, it doesn't take him long to figure it out. Then he's like an old pro. (This can be annoying, too.:)

* He sings. All the time. In the shower especially. But NEVER at Church. He doesn't beleive me when I tell him he can sing. He can though!

* He knows me and still loves me. He has seen me at my best and worst. He knows my crazy quirks, my obnoxious little habits, has seen me struggle and sometimes fail, but he still choses to be my husband and love me anyway.

* He appreciates all we have -- but also dreams BIG! The other day, we were trying really hard to have a family day with the kiddos and they were being a little difficult. I was tired and had enough, so he went to put on their pajamas and get them ready for bed. I could hear Kennedie and Kelsie giggling and him talking to them about trying harder to be good and mind us. When he was done and they were in their beds, he came in and said, "I love my simple little life." In the next breath he is making plans for a second house in Springerville, a new Harley, more kids... I love that he is able to see that he has been blessed, but never settles either.

* He is beautiful. Inside and out. His beauty has given me 2 very cute little girls and a third on her way.

Happy Anniversary Levi! I love you!
